Today is the day that we present the Long List for the 2019 Victory & Reseda Vehicle of The Year Award!
This year's Long List continues to be representative of the work V&R is doing to present these vehicles to you. Some of which are considered stalwarts in the marketplace. Other vehicles represent the latest, the greatest, and the freshest ideas for their intended consumer.
Just like every #VOTY before it, the idea of "vehicle" is not one to put into a row of silos. In our automotive world, we continue to recognize the continued realities of the marketplace, where the SUV is king and queen of the showroom floor. Trucks also played a huge role in this year's #VOTY19 Long List, as they continue to drive sales volumes in this industry.
Yet, you will find some vehicles that represent the enthusiast. If you are one of those people, take solace that you have not been ignored through this work.

As far as brands go, Toyota has six nominees, followed by Hyundai and Kia with five, followed by Ford at four nods. Among OEMs, Hyundai-Kia has ten nominees, followed by Toyota Motor North America with nine and General Motors with eight.
Where this gets tricky is the number of vehicles based on their country of origin. In a global marketplace, it should not really matter where a vehicle is assembled, right? In some camps, it does. On this list are vehicles that were assembled in eight different countries – including Belgium, China, and India.
In a couple of weeks, this list will dwindle down to five finalists. When we announce the finalists for #VOTY19, then it will be your turn to cast your vote to choose which one will take home the coveted award!
