VOTY 2011: The Nominees Are…

Without further ado, the nominees for the 2011 Victory & Reseda Vehicle of the Year (VOTY) Award are:

In the past, a brief description would go along with each nominee. If you know each one of these vehicles, no further description is needed (You can actually see photos of the nominees on this Flickr set). However, there are a few things that need to be said about this year's nominating class…

• This year marks the first nods given to Fiat, GMC, Lexus and Saab.
• Amongst the nominees include the most powerful vehicles and the most expensive vehicles ever driven for VOTY consideration. Never had there been any vehicles with over 400 horsepower on tap, over 400lb-ft or torque or priced over $60,000 amongst any nods before this year.
• Nominees include all variants and body styles of that particular model. For example, the Cadillac CTS includes the CTS-V, the Lexus IS includes the IS-F and the convertibles and the Chevrolet Silverado HD covers both the 2500HD and 3500HD.
