#VnRChat – The Agenda for the Second Special January Chat Edition
Back from Detroit – loaded for bear…um, wait, what?
V&R covered the North American International Auto Show in Detroit – and there is plenty to discuss. The next V&R Chat will be on January 20 at 8:00PM Eastern Time (7:00PM Central) on Twitter. Please use the hashtag #VnRChat to follow and participate on Twitter. It is suggested to use a website or program – such as TweetChat – to get the full effect of the chat itself.
For this first chat of 2013, the agenda is as follows:
2013 NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW REVIEW: This year, V&R was on the spot for the most important auto show in North America in Detroit. We will discuss the debuts that took place throughout at Cobo Center, the interviews Randy conducted with executives from General Motors and some of the other things that occurred while in Detroit. We will also discuss your favorites from NAIAS, as well!
2013 CHICAGO AUTO SHOW PREVIEW: Following up on V&R's coverage of NAIAS, Randy returns to Chicago for more auto show work. Part of V&R’s program at McCormick Place will be the handing off of the 2012 Vehicle of The Year Award to Chrysler Group LLC. Note: For any vehicles not covered in Detroit, they will be covered in Chicago – if available on the show floor.
DO AUTO SHOWS MATTER? It is an important question, but worth exploring. With other auto shows coming up through the calendar, one must consider the instantaneous output of information – authorized or not – to either enhance or spoil the auto show experience. Or, do we still want consumers to simply go and experience the same debuts that occurred before at the major shows? We will explore all of this and more.
