Video Quickie: 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2
General Motors had it in their wheelhouse to create an off-road ready trail dusting, bad-ass pickup truck for their loyal customers.
This is what happens when the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX decidedly move the bar in the pickup truck game.
This is not a matter of "if they can do, so will I." General Motors – to be specific, Chevrolet – had it in their wheelhouse to create an off-road ready trail dusting, bad-ass pickup truck for their loyal customers. They took the opportunity to do a mid-cycle refresh of their full-size, half-ton pickup trucks to do so.
While George was at the Midwest Automotive Media Association Spring Rally, he noticed that the new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 was on the vehicle list. Since I couldn't be there, I asked him to check it out for me.
