Video: 2025 Lexus LX 700h Overtrail

November 24, 2025 by Randy Stern

What do you get when you take a large luxury SUV, give it off-road capability and have it powered by a hybrid driveline? Well...you get this!

Take a flagship SUV from a luxury brand. Then, add off-road capability. What do you get?

The Lexus LX has always been based on the largest Toyta Land Cruiser. Since we do not get the 300 series model, the Overtail trim adds every piece of capability that comes in one. Now, add the new 3.4-liter twin-turbocharged V6 Hybrid driveline to the mix. In total, this becomes a departure from what is offered in the large luxury SUV segment.

This unique offering was put to the test on a piece of road you would ever bring your large luxury SUV on. The results are seen on this video. Watch how Randy and George enjoyed this capable flagship SUV off the beaten track here.
