Like many Volkswagen enthusiasts, George started out in a Golf GTI before diving into the Golf R world. The GTI is where you start understanding the enthusiast's mindset with its calculation of the power-to-weight ratio and finding where to land the car through the apexes.

When we received the 2023 Mk8 Golf GTI for review – and this video – I was wondering how George will approach the newest iteration of this hot hatch icon. After all, it is celebrating 40 years in America – spanning all eight generations of the Volkswagen Rabbit/Golf.

We hope you enjoyed the video. Don't forget to subscribe to V&R's YouTube channel. Like the videos and click on the notification bell, too! And yes, we like comments, too!
