Video: 2022 Toyota Tundra
The lyrics at the top of this article popped up while searching of a metaphor.
"My friends and I, we've cracked the code
We count our dollars on the train to the party"
Those lyrics from Lorde's debut hit, "Royals," were the first thoughts I had when I was writing the script for this video review for the 2022 Toyota Tundra. Not that the New Zealand artist has anything to do with Toyota. Although, Toyota is the best selling brand in that country – and, no, the Tundra is not sold there.
The lyrics at the top of this article popped up while searching of a metaphor. It came as a question whether the new generation Tundra has figured out to meet the challenge long standing by General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis in a high profit segment that yields hundreds of thousands of units per each by each brand in the full size, half-ton pickup truck market.
This video produced and shot by George Torline had us exploring whether or not the Toyota Tundra matches up with the Detroit Three. Go ahead and watch…
What are your thoughts? Has Toyota "cracked the code" by creating a vehicle worthy of pickup truck customers looking for something at par with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150, and Ram 1500? George and I invite you to comment on our video – or down below. We're curious what you really think.
