By the time of reading, we are reaching 35,000 miles on the odometer. The V&R Machine has been drama free.

It endured snowfalls and sub-Arctic temperatures. You can think that parade of vehicles coming in for review that kept it at bay and parked. 

We have been often told about the automobile equals to personal freedom. The freedom to go anywhere we want to go – within reason. 

It sat in the ramp…er, garage…right at the Hyatt Regency hotel at McCormick Place diligently and safely.

To live with a vehicle that is yours, you have a special feeling about that vehicle. You make it comfortable for you. You give it names.

See, we knew we found the right vehicle because of its practicality!

When given the task for extended runs – or, any run – the V&R Machine responded in flying colors.

Without spoiling anything, we now have the V&R Machine up to short of 19,000 miles. It is holding up very nicely!

It took a while, but we now have an introductory video talking about the journey of ownership with our V&R Machine – the 2021 Mazda CX-5 Touring AWD.

We did our first “modifications” to the V&R Machine. I think we gained about 15 horsepower based on the stickers were applied on the C-pillar glass.
