Now that I took a summer drive to the Midwest Automotive Media Association Summer Drive in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, let’s talk about what I drove at the Summer Drive.

Yet, they yield some headline because of their significance. Or, because you asked me privately whether I have driven it or not.

The choices are also getting broader. New vehicles are coming from both established manufacturers and start-ups alike. It is a dizzying array of new products, enticed by tax breaks and incentives to get a home charger installed in your garage.
I’m still picking up from the "cutting room floor" vehicles that did not make the cut back in 2017 for the sake of our ninth anniversary. This is really an exercise that tests my memory, as well as giving a look back at vehicles that have stood the test of time over a decade ago.
Prior to April of 2011, I tried my hand on automotive vehicle reviewing by talking about the cars I rented. They helped me understand what these vehicles were all about. I paid attention to their positive and negative attributes very closely. The result was informed opinions with the approach of living with each of these vehicles day in and day out.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continue to bolster its 110-year-old Alfa Romeo brand as their entry into the luxury car world. The Giulia sedan and Stelvio SUV are focused on delivering an Italian experience in two of the most competitive segments in this business – compact sports sedans and compact premium SUVs.
Now, it’s Toyota’s turn. The Highlander has been one of the leaders in this segment and has been satisfying families for a very long time. They went back to the drawing board and created a new 2020 Highlander for today's families.
