TweetIf you asked me in 1982 – the year I graduated high school – what I wanted to be when I grew up, you would not to be surprised by my response. I was all set to get into broadcasting. Since I could not get into California State University Northridge's Radio-Television-Film program immediately out of …

Hot Wheels and Matchbox sold plenty of Miuras to the fascination of many car-loving children. Heads snap upon sight of a Silhouette, Jarama, or an Urraco. The rarity of early Lamborghinis adds the mystique of the cars that wear the badge sporting the iconic bull.

TweetA Victory & Reseda review of the Audi Q5 As I was planning my trip to Washington, DC and Baltimore for the Washington Automotive Press Association’s EV Day at the Washington Auto Show, an e-mail came from a public relations representative from Audi. Tweet All Photos by Randy Stern It’s tough when you give a publication "first rights" to a vehicle subject. It's even tougher when those vehicles are headline grabbers…and are superb! This is the story of this batch "As Published Elsewhere" Quickies reviews. Vehicles that are found elsewhere with my byline, reviewed fully on those pages. …

Tweet 2018 Audi A5 Sportback – All Photos by Randy Stern I will admit feeling guilty about not giving some brands their due on this site. In other publications, absolutely! Those brands attract a wide swath of customers buying their wares. Yet, they are somehow allusive in a sense that they become enigmas. That statement …

TweetThis is becoming an annoying tradition. This is where I do an annual “What Would Randy Buy if He Won The Freakin' Lottery, Paid Off His Creditors and Have More Than Enough Money to Buy a Car…or Three.” I do this not as a personal indulgence. Nor do I wish that I win some sort …

Tweet Photo by Randy Stern $18 billion is how much it costs to lie to consumers. Volkswagen AG has reached a settlement with the EPA to rectify an issue with their 2.0 liter TDI engines. VW will initiate a three-pronged plan that includes buybacks or retrofits to make these cars EPA Tier 4 emissions compliant. …

TweetV12s, carbon fiber and supercars are the best distraction from reality. The Geneva Auto Show has always been about glitz and glamour. This year has been nothing different with showstoppers like the Aston Martin DB11 or Lamborghini's birthday present to itself the 760 horsepower Centenario. All this gleaming carbon fiber and aluminum makes it easy …
