We wanted to explore vehicles that we're very interested to work with in the coming months. One of them just happened to be the 2023 Toyota Crown.
This year, it seems that I am indeed living my best life as a road trip journalist. Or, at least that is how things are transpiring. It has been an extension of the things I love – driving and travel. Road tripping stokes the fire of discovery, curiosity, and adventure.
I knew we had to attend this year’s Chicago Auto Show – the 115th edition. This time, we arrived as a team. It was just George and I.
The package is simple: A two-row luxury mid-size SUV/Crossover that acts as a long-distance tourer packing more than enough cargo and passenger room.
You had an unassuming design that faded into the background. Yet, you also had a very efficient and practical package that turned good fuel economy figures.
Then, I thought about that photo post. I mean…what if I was a broken down ol’ jalopy? What vehicle would I represent?
It also gave the both of us some engagement with these topics, since George also have been working with these vehicles.
Since encountering it at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show, I always had a soft spot for the Hyundai Palisade.
Initially, I elected not to get a media pass for me, as the event photographer was already on the scene.
