2014 10,000 Lakes Concours d'Elegance: Mark Your Calendars

The south shore of Lake Minnetonka will be alive again. It will be sparkling and shining with the presence of 100-plus antique, vintage and classic automobiles.

The second annual 10,000 Lake Concours d'Elegance will take place in Excelsior, a small community west of Minneapolis right on the Lake Minnetonka shore. The actual event is on June 1 with the full presentation of the automobiles on the lawn of Excelsior Commons. Show time is at 10:00AM to 4:00PM Central time. There will be plenty of parking in the City of Excelsior for spectators.

V&R was there last year covering this event, including the Saturday cruise through the lakeshore onto the show itself. This year, V&R will be on the scene again bringing you a new set of participants and their stories. At this time, V&R does not have any advance information on actual participants and their vehicles. Probably it is suggested to come surprised as to the amazing collection chosen by the event's selection committee.

If want to join us on Sunday for the Concours, tickets are available at BMW of Minnetonka, Gary's First Class Car Care in Excelsior, and the Excelsior-Lake Minnetonka Chamber of Commerce. Admission will be also sold at the gate on June 1. Tickets are $25.00 each ($20.00 in advance at BMW of Minnetonka) with children under 12 admitted for free. Proceeds from the show will go to the ICA Foodshelf, serving the communities of the West Metro Twin Cities. Other benefactors from the weekend of events include the Allina Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute and the Lazarus Project.
